Speaking in regards to the purpose of these words, we love ourselves very much. We prefer to like others, but love ourselves, and so we still take care of the things that our favorite people like. We care so much about the people who stay close to our hearts because we love ourselves.
Giving priority to our favorite people does not mean that we do not love ourselves. Rather, our sympathy goes to those who love themselves, but do not prioritize or take care of their favorite people. Their interests are being achieved and success is coming, but they are failing those who are selfish in prioritizing their favorites.
