Poem: Souvenirs to the Letter by Niha Hasan

"Some books carry out souvenirs to the letter."

Souvenir to the Letter

By Niha Hasan

Is there no minute space somewhere? On the left side of someone's chest, maybe in your own faith. Don't you think "If you ever feel very solitary, what will you do?"

Surely you will take that old book which has been lying for years on your grey bookshelf. No one knows, but you know.... It was not just an old book. It was washed out, rare and scenario. Like an antiquarian book.

The moment when you shake off the dust on your old book will definitely remind you of all the memories and emotions which hold a bitter-sweet connection to your old book.

Maybe that book

was a breathtaking,

a morning companion,

maybe a gift from

the one who cherishes

your dream.

Maybe someone else's anecdote

which has been left,

in a pile of neglect.

Maybe it's written about you

that no one else knows,

not even the author.

Some books carry out souvenirs to the letter.
